From the studio of Susan Mahlstedt comes this cute pair of handmade studs. Susan's workshop is in Kansas City, where she creates modern, wearable jewels with remarkable perfection and exquisite craftsmanship.
These studs are crafted in sterling silver, and accented in 18 karat yellow gold, to resemble a rising sun dawning against an early morning sky. Susan used a technique called "depletion gilding" to work the bright white color out of the silver. Two different textures bring dimensions to these small studs.
The studs have sterling posts with large friction backs, and measure just over 3/8 of an inch wide.
