When our gemstone dealer unveiled this spectacular turquoise gem, Marcel knew he had to have it, to create a one-of-a-kind colorful jewel. Marcel designed a ring, in 14 karat yellow gold, to display the turquoise cabochon, along with a matched pair of deep green tsavorite garnets. The gemstones are held within traditional pointed prongs, and are supported by a shaped band, to balance the large top of the ring.
The Kingman mine, in Arizona, has been in operation for at least 1,800 years. Discovered by the indigenous people of the surrounding land, ancient specimens of this mine's gems have been found as far as Mexico City.
The turquoise has been fashioned as an oval cabochon and weighs 4.81 carats. It has a medium greenish-blue color with white and natural color veining. The two round genuine tsavorite garnets have a total weight of .52 carats. The garnets have a medium, bright green color and were discovered in Africa.
The ring is a size 7.25, and can be sized up or down.
