This is truly a one-of-a-kind diamond ring! The center gemstone is a very light yellow Old Mine Cut diamond. Diamond cutting has evolved over the years, and the older styles of cutting have a romance all their own. The Old Mine Cut was popular from the 1700's into the early 1900's. It has a off-round shape and a large flat culet (the facet at the point of the diamond).
This center diamond is approximately 1.72ct and has a color grade of very light yellow, and a clarity grade of SI1.
The mounting is platinum. The center diamond is set into a square setting with raised, loop style shoulders. 6 white diamonds =.12ct t.w. with F-G/VVS1 color/clarity grades, contrast with the slight color of the center. The setting dates from the 1940's.
