From Massachusetts artist Constance Gildea comes this wide organic band. Constance designs and fabricates jewels by hand, in her Western Massachusetts studio. Inspired by the romance of nature, her pieces feature organic forms, colorful metals and sparkly gems.
This wide band-style ring has been crafted in fine silver (.999% pure silver). Tumbling 24 karat gold oak leaves, applied by the ancient process of keum boo, are scattered across the surface of the ring. Keum boo is the process of fusing pure gold to the silver through heat and pressure. Interspersed among the gold leaves is an arrangement of different size cognac and champagne natural diamonds. The 6 round diamonds have a total weight of .30 carats. The ring is a size 7, and measures 3/8 of an inch to 1/2 of an inch wide.
