Handmade Titanium Feathered Disc Earrings

From the studio of Rhode Island artist Amie Plante comes this pair of "feathered" disc earrings, handmade in titanium. The earrings each feature an organic shaped disc of titanium that have been textured with radiating line work. The discs are "jackets", that can be removed from the titanium studs, so you can wear the studs by themselves. The golden color of the earrings is created by the process of anodization, in which Amie uses an electric current to alter the surface of the titanium. The earrings measure approximately 1/2 of an inch in diameter, and have posts with friction backs.
