An intricate, realistic sand dollar has been re-interpreted into sterling silver and fabulous purple French enamel. The enamel work is done through a centuries-old technique known as "basse taille", in which powdered glass is placed over a carved pattern in the silver, and fired in a kiln.
At the center of the sand dollar is a tiny, white sapphire gemstone, that adds just a touch of sparkle to the pendant. The pendant measures approximately one inch in diameter, and has a hidden bail. Included with the pendant is an adjustable sterling silver cable chain, with a lobster claw clasp. The chain has a silver bead set with silicone, allowing the chain to adjust to any length up to 18 inches.
