Vivid hues of pink and violet French enamel make these sterling silver drop earrings really pop! Enamel is powdered glass, that is fired onto precious metal under high temperatures in a kiln. These earrings have the enamel applied in a technique known as "basse taille", in which the enamel is applied onto a carved silver base, allowing the carved pattern to show through.
The earrings are shaped as navettes, and an oval rhodolite garnet with a lovely reddish-purple color has been set at the center of each.
The earrings have French wires, and each navette drop measures 7/8 of an inch long. The earrings have a rhodium finish, so they will never tarnish.
