Magnificent "Ship's Bell" Chelsea Clock

Plante Jewelers

An extraordinary heirloom quality clock, destined to become the centerpiece of your captain's quarters.

The Ship's Bell was first introduced and patented by Chelsea Clock in 1900 and is handcrafted in Massachusetts.   The clock features a six inch dial set within a forged, lacquered brass case and a solid mahogany wood base.  The dial of the clock is hand-silvered, and features black Roman numerals and hands.

The Ship's Bell is composed from 290 precision brass parts and features an 11-jewel mechanical movement.  The clock should be wound weekly.

The clock gently chimes eight bells at 4, 8 and 12 o'clock to mark the end of a mariner's four-hour watch, with one bell the first half-hour after, plus one additional bell with each subsequent half-hour.
