This luminous opal pendant shimmers with the colors of a mermaid's tail - pink, teal and blue! The pendant has been fashioned in 14 karat yellow gold, with a bezel-set center and prong-set halo. The central opal is a doublet: a slice of genuine opal laminated to a slice of ironstone matrix, the material from which opal is mined. The opal doublet is oval and weighs .52 carats. Surrounding the opal are 26 round earth-mined diamonds, .07 carats total weight, with GIA H/I1 color/clarity grades. The pendant has a tapered, articulated bail and measures just over 5/8 of an inch long.
