Carved Tourmaline Medallion

A special jewel - from Plante Jewelers' workshop! Pierre and Marcel joined forces to design the setting for this unusual carved pink tourmaline. The tourmaline was carved and faceted by our award-winning lapidary, Chris Wolfsberg. Chris designed the tourmaline with his "star bright" pattern, which features a large flat table (top facet) with a carved back, to give a radiating effect. The tourmaline has a violetish-pink color and weighs 2.86 carats.
To accent the tourmaline, they chose a selection of vibrant pink diamonds, which our jeweler, Steve, set by hand in stations around the pendant's outer halo. The diamonds have a total weight of .18 carats, with GIA VS1 clarity. The diamonds are earth-mined, and have been irradiated to have their pink color.
The pendant has an articulated ring-style bail and measures just over 1 inch long by just over 5/8 of an inch wide. It is sold without a chain. Contact us for chain options!
