Marcel was inspired by the Viennese workshops of the Wiener Werkstatte to design this glowing peridot pendant. Marcel, Pierre and Nancy visited the Neue Galerie in NYC a few years ago, to see an exhibition of dazzling jewels, furniture, clothing and decor crafted by the designers of the Wiener Werkstatte. The incredible workmanship, unusual gemstones, and the employment of silver as a highly precious metal were a catalyst to create our own one-of-a-kind jewels.
Using hand sketches and the wonders of modern CAD technology, Marcel created a tablet-style pendant, with a long, vertical motif featuring peridots and green diamonds. The pendant was cast in sterling silver, with brightly polished beads, an oxidized details and a "floating" bail.
Two vivid oval cabochon peridot gemstones have been set at the center of the pendant, bordered by small round cabochon peridot gems. A single peridot sits at the top of the bail, and a pair of matching green diamonds brings a touch of sparkle to the pendant. The two earth-mined diamonds have a total weight of .04 carats, with irradiated bright green color and SI clarity.
The pendant measures one and a half inches long and three-eighths of an inch wide. It is sold separately from the chain pictured.
