This antique brooch - circa 1915 - comes from the original stock of our founder, Arthur Plante, and has never been worn. When we discovered the brooch in our safe, it had not been finished, so we decided to set two ideal-cut earth-mined diamonds, to accent the original central aquamarine.
The brooch has been fabricated in 14 karat yellow gold and platinum. The central genuine aquamarine has been faceted as an Old European Cut. The two ideal-cut diamonds have a total weight of .04 carats, with GIA FG/SI1 color/clarity grades.
The brooch features bright-cut filigree motifs and a traditional pin stem and safety catch. The brooch measures 2 1/3 inches long by 1/2 of an inch wide.
