Enamel Mermaid Pendant

This fantastic siren-of-the sea dazzles with vibrant French enamel and a bright, light blue topaz gemstone. The mermaid has been made in sterling silver and decorated with translucent, colorful enamel. To create the mermaid's golden locks and shimmering scales, the silver base was intricately carved, to show through the luminous enamel in a technique known as "basse taille".
The mermaid holds a round, genuine light blue topaz, which measures 3.4mm round. She slides on a sterling silver cable chain, adjustable up to 20 inches long, with a lobster claw clasp. Both the mermaid and chain have a rhodium finish, so they will not tarnish. The mermaid measures 1 1/8 inches long.
