Vivid orange enamel combines with glossy black rhodium to create one of nature's most intriguing insects! This life-like monarch butterfly pendant is sterling silver, and has been decorated with French enamel, to re-create its signature wings. French enamel is glass, that is fused in many layers over precious metal, to create a luminous effect. The butterfly is accented in black rhodium, which is a tinted platinum metal that is plated over the silver.
The butterfly measures 1.25" wide and has a tapered bail. It comes on an adjustable sterling silver cable chain, which can be worn at any length up to 20 inches, with a lobster claw clasp. The chain has a rhodium finish, so it will not tarnish.
